El mes de la parranda : el papel de la música parrandera en el Valle de Aburrá durante las festividades decembrinas

Abstract

RESUMEN: Mucho antes de que la famosa y polémica alborada anuncie la llegada de diciembre y de que la gastronomía navideña imponga sus sabores, aparece la música parrandera como heraldo de las festividades decembrinas antioqueñas. Desde septiembre u octubre empiezan a colarse por emisoras locales las canciones más representativas del género, abonando el camino para la que, quizá, sea la fiesta más importante a nivel regional. Pero es en diciembre donde la parrandera toma mayor fuerza, involucrando múltiples actores, espacios, significados y prácticas. El propósito de este trabajo de este trabajo de investigación es comprender, desde la antropología, el papel que cumple la música parrandera para la sociedad del Valle de Aburrá durante las festividades decembrinas, teniendo en cuenta que música y fiesta son dos fenómenos que no se pueden separar en el caso que aquí nos convoca. Para lograr este objetivo, se abordan las continuidades y cambios que se han presentado en el proceso de construcción histórica del género, las formas como se ha mantenido socialmente esta música dentro de las festividades y los procesos creativos y de experiencia individual que surgen alrededor de esta.

ABSTRACT: Long before the famous and controversial aubade announces the arrival of December and that the Christmas gastronomy imposes its flavors, parrandera music appears as the herald of the festividades decembrinas Antioquia. From September or October, the most representative songs of the genre begin to sneak into local stations, paving the way for what may be the most important festival at the regional level. But it is in December that parrandera takes on more strength, involving multiple actors, spaces, meanings and practices.

The purpose of this research work is to understand, from anthropology, the role played by parrandera music for the society of Valle de Aburrá during the festividades decembrinas, taking into account that music and fiesta are two phenomena that can not be separate in the case that here calls us. To achieve this goal, the continuities and changes that have arisen in the process of historical construction of the genre, the ways in which this music has been socially maintained within the festivities and the creative and individual experience processes that arise around this.
