Vestigios escritos de la historia local : Medellín siglos XXI al XIX

Abstract

RESUMEN: El punto de partida para la elaboración de este informe fue la inquietud por lo que se ha escrito sobre historia local de Medellín, y cómo se han vinculado esas reflexiones con la Escuela. En el camino de búsquedas y lecturas, surgieron múltiples preguntas acerca del pasado de la localidad, narrado y consignado en publicaciones e investigaciones de diversos autores que, desde finales del siglo XVIII hasta la actualidad, explican procesos de la historia local de sus habitantes. Este ejercicio de investigación se centró en un análisis documental de fuentes impresas, que reposan en archivos y salas patrimoniales de algunas bibliotecas de la ciudad; accedí a tesis, artículos de revistas y libros que se han elaborado sobre la historia local de Medellín, con narrativas y memorias que aún no se han aprovechado en la Escuela para el abordaje didáctico del proceso de enseñanza de la Historia local.Mi interés fue registrar la manera en que se ha llevado a cabo la construcción de la historia local de Medellín entre los siglos XIX y XXI, con el fin de identificar posibilidades de trabajo y difusión de esas historias en las instituciones educativas de la ciudad.

ABSTRACT: The starting point for the preparation of this report was the concern about what has been written about the local history of Medellin, and how these reflections have been linked to the School. In the way of searches and readings, multiple questions arose about the past of the locality, narrated and consigned in publications and investigations of diverse authors who, from the end of the XVIII century to the present, explain processes of the local history of its inhabitants. This research exercise focused on a documentary analysis of printed sources, which rest in archives and heritage halls of some libraries in the city; I have access to theses, articles of magazines and books that have been elaborated on the local history of Medellín, with narratives and memories that have not yet been used in the School for the didactic approach of the teaching process of the local History. My interest was to record the way in which the construction of the local history of Medellín was carried out between the 19th and the 21st centuries, in order to identify work possibilities and dissemination of those stories in the educational institutions of the city.
