Sistematización y caracterización de la tipología cerámica de las investigaciones arqueológicas efectuadas en Frontino y Urrao, Antioquia (2002 - 2015)

Abstract

RESUMEN: El siguiente trabajo se elaboró con base en las evidencias cerámicas provenientes de siete investigaciones efectuadas en los municipios de Frontino y Urrao en el marco del Programa de investigaciones del occidente antioqueño, adscrito al Grupo Estudios del Territorio-GET del Instituto de Estudios Regionales-INER. Los indicadores tecnológicos, morfológicos, funcionales y decorativos de las evidencias arqueológicas, fueron los aspectos que se analizaron para realizar la descripción tipológica de la cerámica, encontrando diferencias y similitudes en el material arqueológico de los dos municipios del área de estudio e identificando variaciones en la secuencia de la cronología regional.

ABSTRACT: the following work was elaborated based on the ceramic evidence from seven investigations carried out in the municipalities of Frontino and Urrao in the framework of the Western Antioquia Research Program, attached to the Territorial Studies Group-GET of the Institute of Regional Studies-INER. The technological, morphological, functional and decorative indicators of the archaeological evidences were the aspects that were analyzed to make the typological description of the pottery, finding differences and similarities in the archaeological material of the two municipalities of the study area and identifying variations in the sequence of the regional chronology.
