Agresividad y empatía en estudiantes de los grados 6 y 7 de dos establecimientos educativos públicos del municipio de Puerto Berrío (Ant.)

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente escrito es el informe de una investigación cualitativa, de alcance exploratorio-descriptivo y diseño no experimental transversal, que tuvo como finalidad describir la relación existente entre Empatía y Agresividad en la población estudiantil de los grados 6° y 7° de las I.E. América y Alfonso López Pumarejo del municipio de Puerto Berrío (Ant.). La muestra, seleccionada por muestreo dirigido, estuvo constituida por 194 individuos (85 hombres y 109 mujeres), los cuales contestaron un instrumento adaptado a partir de la adaptación psicométrica de la versión española del Cuestionario de Agresividad de Buss y Perry realizada por Andreu, Peña y Graña (2002) y del test elaborado por Bautista Hernández, Vera Noriega, Tánori Quintana y Valdés Cuervo (2016) para medir la empatía en población de secundaria en México. Los datos obtenidos se analizaron comparando los resultados generales en ambas variable en términos de Mediana, Moda, Media y Desviación Estándar, luego se discriminaron según Institución, Sexo, Grado, Edad y Edad y sexo. En términos generales, los resultados mostraron unos niveles de agresividad y de empatía relativamente elevados y próximos entre sí, sin evidenciarse si entre las dos variables del estudio existía algún tipo de relación (positiva o negativa). Se recomienda realizar un estudio ulterior, de alcance correlacional, con una muestra poblacional más amplia y que abarque todos los rangos de edad posibles dentro de la Educación Obligatoria (Preescolar, Primaria y Secundaria) y Media.

ABSTRACT: This wiriting is the report of a qualitative research, of exploratory-descriptive scope and transversal non-experimental design, which aimed to describe the relationship between Empathy and Aggression in the student population of grades 6 and 7 of the I.E. América and Alfonso López Pumarejo of the municipality of Puerto Berrío (Ant.). The sample, selected by directed sampling, consisted of 194 individuals (85 men and 109 women), who answered an instrument adapted from the psychometric adaptation of the Spanish version of the Buss and Perry Questionnaire of Aggression by Andreu, Peña. and Graña (2002) and the test prepared by Bautista Hernández, Vera Noriega, Tánori Quintana and Valdés Cuervo (2016) to measure empathy in the high school population in Mexico. The data obtained were analyzed by comparing the general results in both variables in terms of Median, Fashion, Average and Standard Deviation, then they were discriminated according to Institution, Sex, Grade, Age and Age and sex. In general terms, the results showed levels of aggressiveness and empathy relatively high and close to each other, without showing whether there was some kind of relationship (positive or negative) between the two study variables. It is recommended to carry out a further study, of correlational scope, with a broader population sample and covering all possible age ranges within Compulsory Education (Preschool, Primary and Secondary) and Media.
