Adaptación y validación de Theory of Mind Inventory y Tom Task Battery en el Oriente Antioqueño

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el presente estudio se adapta y valida la ToM Task Battery y el Theory of Mind Inventory 2 al contexto colombiano con una muestra probabilística estratificada por rangos de edad, sexo y municipio (Guarne y El Santuario), conformada por 342 niños entre 2 y 12 años y sus respectivos cuidadores; se examinaron las propiedades psicométricas por medio del programa estadístico SPSS 24, se obtuvo una consistencia interna adecuada para el ToM Task Battery (α=.881 con un total de 13 ítems). También se realizó análisis factorial confirmatorio para EL ToMI 2 y un análisis de clusters para el ToM Task Battery. Respecto al ToMI 2 (60 ítems) se concluye que no es una prueba válida respecto al constructo teórico que le subyace.

ABSTRACT: In the present study the ToM Task Battery and the Theory of Mind Inventory 2 are adapted and validated to the Colombian context with a probabilistic sample stratified by age, sex and municipality (Guarne and El Santuario), consisting of 342 children between 2 and 12 years and their respective caregivers; the psychometric properties were examined by means of the statistical program SPSS 24, an adequate internal consistency was obtained for the ToM Task Battery (α = .881 with a total of 13 items). We also performed confirmatory factor analysis for EL ToMI 2 and a cluster analysis for the ToM Task Battery. With respect to ToMI 2 (60 items) it is concluded that it is not a valid test with respect to the theoretical construct that underlies it.
