Viajeros liminales : antropología del turismo y oferta turística Israelí en la ciudad de Medellín y sus alrededores

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo para optar por el título de pregrado en antropología, hace un acercamiento a diferentes formas de hacer turismo en la ciudad de Medellín, y principalmente, explora como una comunidad concreta, jóvenes hombres israelíes recién salidos del ejército, hacen parte de un nicho turístico exclusivo y particular que difiere de otro tipo de expresiones turísticas al interior de la ciudad y sus cercanías. Haciendo análisis desde una perspectiva antropológica, y con ayuda de relatos creados de forma conjunta entre testimonios y diarios de viaje de diferentes interlocutores y el autor, el presente texto reflexiona sobre el turismo como espacio de marginalidad, cambio y reconstrucción del ser para determinados grupos de turistas.

ABSTRACT: The present work to opt for the undergraduate degree in anthropology, makes an approach to different forms of tourism in the city of Medellín, and mainly, explores how a concrete community, young Israelian men recently out of the army, are part of an exclusive niche and particular way of tourism that differs from other types of tourist expressions in the city and its surroundings. Analyzing from an anthropological perspective, and with the help of stories created linking testimonies and travel diaries of different interlocutors and the author, this text reflects about tourism as a space of marginality, change and reconstruction for certain groups of tourists.
