Resumen : | ABSTRACT: This project report presents the results of an investigation process which, due to the confinement generated by the COVID-19 pandemic, led to the development of a learning guide which applies Project-Based Learning approach for motivating 5th graders of a rural school to learn English and heightening awareness about humans’ responsibility with animal protection. First, by the use of questions and videos related to animals' problems and present simple tense, pupils are introduced to the problem of animal abuse in their rural division. Secondly, an interactive workshop is proposed to apply the grammar topic. Thirdly, some videos and articles presenting solutions to help animals are used to make schoolchildren reflect on alternatives for their own context. Finally, they have to present a poster which integrates previous work for answering the project question. |
