Arte ancestral de los indígenas urbanos : dignificación de ser un indígena en contexto de ciudad

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este informe recoge desde una perspectiva intercultural y decolonial, los resultados de la investigación realizada de manera conjunta con algunos miembros de las comunidades Indígenas: Inga, Embera Chamí y Embera Katío, residentes en la ciudad de Medellín. Entre los resultados sobresale, que dentro de las principales motivaciones de los indígenas urbanos para elaborar su arte ancestral están sus resistencias al sistema y a las lógicas de mercado que invisibilizan el significado de sus tejidos; que traen consigo su conocimiento, su vida y sentires; en él, comparten su cosmovisión, tradiciones y espiritualidad con otros y otras. En este documento se muestra que; el arte ancestral, es la grafía de las comunidades indígenas; por lo cual, no son colores y formas sin sentido, todo está cargado de significado. Comercializar su arte no es solo cuestión de belleza o dinero; si no de compartir, enseñar y de velar su cosmovisión con todo aquel que desee conocer la esencia de cada una de las comunidades y portar sus elaboraciones.

ABSTRACT: This report collects from an intercultural and decolonial perspective, the results of the research carried out jointly with some members of the Indigenous communities: Inga, Embera Chamí and Embera Katío, residents of the city of Medellín. Among the results, it stands out that among the main motivations of urban indigenous people to develop their ancestral art are their resistance to the system and market logic that make the meaning of their fabrics invisible; that bring with them their knowledge, their life and feelings; in it, they share their worldview, traditions and spirituality with others. This document shows that; ancestral art is the spelling of indigenous communities; Therefore, they are not meaningless colors and shapes, everything is loaded with meaning. Marketing your art is not just about beauty or money; if not to share, teach and watch over their worldview with anyone who wants to know the essence of each of the communities and carry their elaborations.
