Empoderamiento de madres de niños y niñas con síndrome de Down para transformar las habilidades pragmáticas y la conducta

Abstract

RESUMEN: La presente investigación se realizó con menores entre los tres y nueve años de edad de la Asociación de Familias de Niños, Niñas y Jóvenes con Síndrome de Down, de la ciudad de Medellín. Para dar inicio se hizo necesario realizar un diagnóstico y conocer las necesidades manifestadas por las madres de niños y niñas; de allí se evidenció la importancia de ahondar sobre la relación existente entre las habilidades pragmáticas y la conducta de los Down. El presente proyecto se inscribe dentro de la investigación cualitativa, cabe señalar que se realizó un trabajo de la mano de las familias, como el pilar fundamental para potenciar los anteriores aspectos en sus hijos. Para dicha investigación se hizo fundamental contar con la participación de las madres en cada una de las sesiones. Durante el desarrollo de este trabajo se pudo evidenciar que existe un mayor interés por algunas de las madres en hacer que los procesos de sus hijos sea un tema que involucre a toda la familia y de esta manera poder conocer las habilidades que tienen sus hijos; lo que permitió que las madres asumieran una postura desligada del asistencialismo que en muchas ocasiones opaca las capacidades de esta población.

ABSTRACT: The Current investigation investigation was carried out with infants and infants between three years and nine years of age of La Asociación de Familias de Niños, Niñas y Jóvenes con Síndrome de Down, de la ciudad de Medellín. We make a diagnosis, it became necessary to make a diagnosis and know the needs expressed by mothers of boys and girls; from there, the importance of the relationship between pragmatics and the behavior of Down's is evident. This research falls within the qualitative research, it should be noted that a work was done hand in hand with families, as the fundamental fundamental to enhance the social skills of their children. For the research, a fundamental comment was made with the participation of the mothers in each of the sessions. During the development of this work it was possible to show that there is a greater interest for some of the mothers to do the processes of their children, a topic that involves the whole family and in this way, to know the skills that their children have; What allowed the parents to assume a position detached from the assistance that in many occasions obscures the capabilities of this population.
