Decir adiós, abrazar la vida : hacia una educación para la muerte

Abstract

RESUMEN: Hemos estado inmersos dentro de una sociedad, donde culturalmente se ha creado un tabú tras el concepto de muerte, un tabú que infunde temor a conocerla, a reflexionarla, a vivirla. Este trabajo pretende exponer la importancia de una educación para la muerte que fomente la resignificación de conceptos culturales y paradigmas que alrededor de ella se han elaborado y vivido hasta hoy, además de facilitar la inclusión en la educación de un conocimiento que genere un aprendizaje significativo y un estado idóneo de consciencia frente a la muerte, que permita la aceptación de ella como parte de la vida siendo simplemente efecto de su finitud. Se busca la normalización del tema de la muerte en el aula y así trascender de una educación habitual, a la cual estamos acostumbrados, a una educación de la consciencia que finalmente favorezca la evolución humana. En el presente trabajo realizamos una revisión documental de las investigaciones hechas hasta hoy en torno a la educación para la muerte, al tiempo que exponemos a la comunidad educativa la pertinencia de la inclusión de la misma en los procesos formativos actuales, proponiendo para ésta, además, la posibilidad de ser impartida a través de la educación artística teniendo en cuenta los recursos que ofrece el arte como herramienta didáctica. Presentamos el concepto de educación para la muerte y sus diferentes campos de acción, y finalmente exponemos estrategias pedagógicas existentes que utilizan el arte como elemento facilitador para el abordaje de la educación para la muerte.

ABTRACT: We have been immersed in a society, where culturally a taboo has been created behind the concept of death, a taboo that ingrains fear to know it, to reflect on it, to live it. This academic work aims to explain the importance of the education for death that encourages the resignification of cultural concepts and paradigms that have been developed and lived around it until present time, besides facilitating the inclusion in education of new knowledge that generates meaningful learning and an ideal state of consciousness to face death, which allows the acceptance of it as part of life, being simply the effect of its finitude. It is intended to find the standardization of the topic of death in the classroom, thereby to transcends from an ordinary education, the one we are accustomed, to an education of consciousness that at last favors human evolution.In this work, we present a documentary review of research carried out to date on education for death, at the same time we show to the academic community the relevance of its inclusion in current teaching training processes, proposing for it, the possibility of being taught through artistic education taking into account the resources that art offers as a didactic tool. We present the concept of education for death and its different fields of action, and finally we explain existing pedagogical strategies that use art as a facilitating element for the education for death approach.
