¿Nuevas prácticas o vacío teórico? Una mirada al XI Salón Regional de artistas

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el auge de los procesos curatoriales son más valoradas las tareas de intermediación y consumo del arte que las de su producción. La adopción de una dinámica curatorial en el marco del último Salón Regional de Artistas presentado en la ciudad debe motivar un análisis que revise la función de las exhibiciones del arte y el compromiso que los curadores e intermediadores tienen con la teoría, la crítica y la pedagogía. EL artículo revisa tales funciones y realiza una refleción sobre los marcos institucionales y sobre la reoría crítica, didáctica y teórica que debe seguir animando todo proceso de presentación del arte, dada la apremiante necesidad que tiene la ciudad de paliar la insuficiencia crítica y teórica y la invisibilidad de los conocedores. En el mundo del arte no importa ya qué tanto o cómo es la obra o quén lo hizo, sino cómo llega y cómo hace parte de un contexto.

ABSTRACT: In the boom of curatorial processes, the intermediation and consumption of art are more highly esteemed than is production.The adoption of curatorial dynamics in the most recent Regional Hall of Artistis that took place in town schould lead to an analysis of the fuction or art exhibits and of the commitment of curators and intermediators to theory, criticism and pedagogy. The article goes over these functions and reflects on institutional structures and on the critical, didactic and theoretic tasks that should vitalize all processes in the presentation of art, due to the urgent need the city has of alleviating critical and theoretic insufficiencies as well as the invisibility of those who know. Ar present, in the world of art, what the work is, what it is like, or who made ir, matter less than how it is received and hoe it is part of a context.
