La fotografía como dispositivo mágico

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el saber popular, la fotografía tiene en su haber una serie de potencialidades maravillosas: que pueder ser usada en conjuros mágicos, que es capaz de robar el alma con tan solo accionar el cilc… Afirmaciones todas que caben en el capítulo de las mitologías de la ténica y que perviven en el mundo contemporáneo, aun en los ámbitos más militantes del pensamiento positivo. El libro, en que se ha basado este artículo, es resultado de una exhaustiva investigación, propone una tesis: que en efecto el dispositivo fotográfico reúne características que le permiten funcionar como herramienta del pensamiento mágico. Un recorrido en el que se abordará los procesos históricos, técnicos, mediáticos y conceptuales en los que la fotografía ha tenido aplicación desde su invención hasta nuestros días.

ABSTRACT: In common opinion, photography has a series of wonderful potentialities on its behalf: It can be used in magic spells; it is capable of stealing the soul by only clicking. They are all statements thah fit into the chapter of the mythologies of technology and survive in the contemporary world, even in the most militant spheres of positive thinking. The book that serves a foundation for the present article is the result of exhaustive research and sets forth a thesis: The photographic device truly possesses a series of traits that give ir the funcionality of a toll of magical thought. A survey will be made of the historical, techical, media and conceptual processes in which photography has fpund applications since its invention, even onto our day.
