Arte mural en Antioquia 1930 – 1970: un asunto más allá de la estética

Abstract

RESUMEN: a lo largo de este texto, intentamos exponer algunas ideas de cómo surgió una inquietud entre los artistas colombianos que, a comienzos del siglo XX, propugnaban por un arte independiente de las vanguardias europeas, sin embargo, la búsqueda de un arte de carácter nacional, orientada a la correspondencia entre la tradición, la costumbre, la cultura, las raíces y la estética, se fue apagando.

ABSTRACT: throughout this text, we try to present some ideas of how a concern arose among Colombia artists who, at the beginning of the 20th century, advocated for an art independent of the European avant-gardes, however, the search for an art of a national character, that sought to find the correspondence between tradition, custom, culture, roots and aesthetics were fading.
