Diversidad y continuidad: ¿Cómo enseñaba prácticas idiomáticas Ferdinand de Saussure?

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este artículo presenta una reflexión general sobre los resultados de la investigación “Práctica y teoría en Ferdinand de Saussure”, realizada en la Universidad de Antioquia. Después de explicar el objetivo, el material y el recorrido de la investigación, los resultados sobre las prácticas idiomáticas de Saussure como docente se relacionan con su teoría general del lenguaje. De esta manera, se demuestra un vínculo entre la teoría saussuriana y el saber práctico de Saussure con respecto a la enseñanza de la traducción y la lengua sánscrita.

ABSTRACT: This paper presents a reflection on the results of the research project, “Practice and Theory in Ferdinand de Saussure,” conducted at the University of Antioquia. We state the objective of the study, describe the materials and methodology used and the stages of the project, and relate the results of Saussure’s linguistic practices as a teacher to his general theory of language. In this way, we demonstrate that Saussure’s specific theory is actually linked to his practical knowledge regarding the teaching of translation and of the Sanskrit language.
