ABSTRACT: A public health policy is one that guarantees the conditions in which people can be healthy; its goal is precisely that the need for health care services is the minimum possible because the population is in good health. The objective of this work is to elaborate a pre-feasibility study for the design of a governance model for the management and coordination of public health in Medellin 2020-2023. The study determined that the current management structure is not sufficient to organize and deepen public health care in the city, considering that the governance model for the management and coordination of public health in Medellin is based on a set of actions aimed at promoting collective strategies of coordination and articulation among actors, in which those responsible for the management and resources would be, in this case, the Mayor's Office of Medellin, The study was built on the basis of a logical framework which guided the analysis for the feasibility, a market study was made where the financing possibilities are ample since there would be an assigned budget, a theoretical analysis was made as well, being the support for the Governance Model, and demonstrating the value of the study at a theoretical level and finally a series of activities were structured to show that it is possible to establish a Governance Model for the area of public health with institutional support. In conclusion, it was concluded that a governance model for the management and coordination of public health that seeks to guarantee a healthy life and promote wellbeing for everyone at all ages is feasible, where from a social point of view it improves the quality of life by having the possibility of adopting measures that contribute to a healthy environment. |
