Espacios de diálogo en el colectivo Tertulia La Champa como estrategia de reconocimiento y apropiación de la cultura afro en el municipio de Carepa

Abstract

RESUMEN: Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar cómo se reivindican las prácticas y elementos propios de la cultura afrodescendiente, a través de los espacios de diálogo en el Colectivo Tertulia La Champa del municipio de Carepa; para lograrlo, se usó la observación participante del colectivo y se realizaron entrevistas a profundidad a cuatro de sus miembros. Se encontró que la cultura afro del actual municipio ha dejado de promover y reflejar sus costumbres propias, y esto se debe a que no cuentan con espacios para poder demostrarlas, sus tradiciones se han visto desplazadas al pasar del tiempo, lo que ha generado una pérdida a la memoria ancestral y al desconocimiento de lo qué es ser afro para las nuevas generaciones.

ABSTRACT: The objective of this research was to analyze how the practices and elements of afro- descendant culture are vindicated, through the spaces for dialogue in the Tertulia La Champa Collective in the municipality of Carepa; To achieve this, participant observation of the group was used and in-depth interviews were conducted with four of its members. It was found that the Afro culture of the current municipality has stopped promoting and reflecting its own customs, and this is because they do not have spaces to demonstrate them, their traditions have been displaced over time, which has generated a loss to the ancestral memory and to the ignorance of what it is to be Afro for the new generations.
