Bestias y monstruos de la literatura mítica y legendaria de Colombia. Compilación para la creación de un bestiario colombiano

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este trabajo de grado sigue la línea de investigación del énfasis en Literatura, y tiene como principal intensión proponer la construcción de un Bestiario Colombiano, a partir de la compilación de las bestias y monstruos existentes en la literatura de mitos y leyendas de Colombia. Para cumplir este propósito se exponen los resultados de un artículo de revisión en el cual se indagó y se conoció a profundidad sobre el tema de las bestias y monstruos del imaginario cultural del país: qué se ha escrito, quiénes han escrito, de qué forma lo han dicho y qué faltaba por decir. Luego se presentan los métodos por medio de los cuales algunos autores, literatos y bibliotecólogos, compilaban material bibliográfico para presentar una recopilación específica de textos; en este caso, para compilar fragmentos sobre personajes fantásticos de la literatura mítica y legendaria de Colombia. A partir de esto, se establecen los criterios metodológicos pertinentes que permiten la identificación, selección y clasificación de dichos personajes; y, finalmente, se presenta la compilación, a manera de Bestiario, de los monstruos y las bestias presentes en la literatura tradicional de mitos y leyendas de Colombia.

ABSTRACT: This degree work follows the line of research of the emphasis on Literature, and its main intention is to propose the construction of a Colombian Bestiary, based on the compilation of beasts and monsters existing in the literature of Colombian myths and legends. To fulfill this purpose, the results of a review article are exposed in which the subject of beasts and monsters of the country's cultural imaginary was investigated and learned in depth: what has been written, who has written, how have said and what was left to say. Then, the methods by which some authors, scholars and librarians, compiled bibliographic material to present a specific collection of texts are presented; in this case, to compile fragments about fantastic characters from the mythical and legendary literature of Colombia. From this, the pertinent methodological criteria that allow the identification, selection and classification of said characters are established; and, finally, the compilation, in the manner of a Bestiary, of the monsters and beasts present in the traditional literature of Colombian myths and legends is presented.
