Reconstrucción de la memoria del proceso de recuperación de tierras en Cristianía, Jardín, 1978-1982 : conformación del Cabildo indígena, constitución del resguardo y revitalización de la cultura embera

Abstract

RESUMEN: La presente investigación se centra en la reconstrucción de la memoria del proceso de recuperación de tierras en la comunidad de Cristianía, conformada por indígenas Embera Chamí del municipio de Jardín; lucha por la tierra que se dio en el suroeste de Antioquia, entre los años de 1978 y 1982. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es reconstruir la memoria de este proceso a través de los relatos y el ejercicio de memoria de los mayores que participaron en esta lucha. Para ello, se hizo énfasis en el ejercicio de escucha activa de estos relatos, lo que convierte a la memoria oral en el centro de la reconstrucción testimonial que da cuenta de las acciones colectivas que permitieron recuperar las tierras de Cristianía. A través de la memoria de los mayores y líderes del resguardo de Karmata Rúa (Cristianía), se logró reconstruir la lucha y las acciones colectivas del pueblo indígena Embera Chamí de Jardín, Antioquia, para la recuperación de tierras. Este trabajo destaca la importancia de la memoria colectiva en la comprensión de los procesos de lucha y recuperación de tierras. Además, se resalta la organización comunitaria y la forma de gobierno con el Cabildo indígena, que permitió a la comunidad Embera Chamí recuperar y habitar lo que hoy es el resguardo de Karmata Rúa. La investigación se basó en el análisis de testimonios orales y documentos históricos.

ABSTRACT: This research focuses on the reconstruction of the memory of the land recovery process in the community of Cristianía, made up of Embera Chamí indigenous people from the municipality of Jardín; a struggle for land that took place in the southwest of Antioquia, between the years 1978 and 1982. The main objective of this work is to reconstruct the memory of this process through the stories and the exercise of memory of the elders who participated in this struggle. For this, emphasis was placed on the active listening exercise of these stories, which makes oral memory the center of the testimonial reconstruction that accounts for the collective actions that allowed the recovery of the lands of Cristianía. Through the memory of the elders and leaders of the Karmata Rúa reserve (Cristianía), the struggle and collective actions of the Embera Chamí indigenous people of Jardín, Antioquia, for land recovery were reconstructed. This work highlights the importance of collective memory in understanding the processes of struggle and land recovery. In addition, the community organization and the form of government with the indigenous Cabildo are highlighted, which allowed the Embera Chamí community to recover and inhabit what today is the Karmata Rúa reserve. The research was based on the analysis of oral testimonies and historical documents.
