Organización y tratamiento de la colección especializada en Estudios Feministas y de Género de la profesora Sara Yaneth Fernández Moreno

Abstract

RESUMEN: La Biblioteca Central de la Universidad de Antioquia ha recibido valiosas colecciones personales desde el año 2018, incluyendo la colección de género de la destacada feminista, académica y activista de la Universidad, Sara Yaneth Fernández Moreno. Este proyecto tiene como objetivo organizar y poner a disposición de los usuarios dicha colección; en él se incluye la descripción, el análisis, la clasificación y la catalogación según las normas RDA, así como la automatización en el Sistema Koha, de 356 de los recursos que hacen parte de la misma . Además, se inició la creación de una lista de términos controlados para facilitar la búsqueda y recuperación eficiente de la información, permitiendo con ello el acceso amplio y suficiente a esta. Este documento detalla además los pasos del proceso, incluyendo los objetivos generales y específicos, así como el marco contextual y teórico, la metodología, los resultados esperados y el cronograma, el cual ha sido diseñado para un periodo de 18 semanas. Tanto la justificación como el marco conceptual y el contextual buscan resaltar la importancia que tiene para la comunidad universitaria la colección de la profesora Sara Yaneth Fernández Moreno, cuyo trabajo y legado representan una gran herramienta para la investigación y los estudios de género tanto al interior de la Universidad como por fuera de ella, contribuyendo así a una mejor compresión de la temática sobre la cual fue creada la colección y a la generación de nuevo conocimiento.

ABSTRACT: The Central Library of the University of Antioquia has been receiving valuable personal collections since 2018, including the gender collection of the prominent feminist, academic and activist of the University Sara Yaneth Fernández Moreno. This project aims to organize and make this collection available to users; and it includes the description, analysis, classification and cataloging according to RDA standards, as well as the automation in the Koha System, of 356 of the resources that are part of it. In addition, a list of controlled terms will be created to facilitate the efficient search and retrieval of the information, thus allowing broad and sufficient access to it. This document also details the steps of the process, including the general and specific objectives, as well as the contextual and theoretical framework, the methodology, the expected results and the timeline, which has been designed for a period of 18 weeks. Both the justification and the conceptual and contextual framework seek to highlight the importance for the university community of the collection of Professor Sara Yaneth Fernández Moreno, whose work and legacy represent a great tool for research and gender studies within the University, thus contributing to a better understanding of the subject matter on which the collection was created and to the generation of new knowledge.
