Cambios en las dinámicas de relacionamiento entre los feligreses y los sacerdotes en Medellín y Antioquia después del Concilio Vaticano II y la II Conferencia del CELAM, 1962-1975

Abstract

RESUMEN: El siglo XX sirvió como punto de partida para que la Iglesia decidiese renovar parte de su estructura pastoral y evangelizadora, América Latina hizo parte fundamental de los cambios propuestos. La presente monografía tiene como objetivo entender las dinámicas de relacionamiento entre los feligreses y los sacerdotes en Medellín y Antioquia a través del concepto de “Rebeldía Clerical”, después del Concilio Vaticano II y la Segunda Conferencia del Episcopado Latinoamericano. Para este objeto recaudamos una serie de fuentes primarias y bibliografía que dieran respuesta a la hipótesis, las cuales se enmarcan en testimonios y fuentes de archivo que estuvieron directamente relacionadas. Como parte del proceso se identificaron los antecedentes que posibilitaron la realización del Concilio Vaticano II y la Segunda Conferencia del Episcopado Latinoamericano. En un segundo momento, se distinguieron los cambios en la administración de los sacramentos antes y después de dicho concilio. Por último, se analizó la función social y eclesial del “pobre” dentro de la Medellín postconciliar. Se logró identificar que sí existieron cambios en las formas de relacionamiento a través de la administración de los sacramentos y las percepciones que tuvieron los sacerdotes de los documentos conciliares. Con base en las nuevas interpretaciones parte del clero tomó decisiones que sus superiores consideraron radicales, pero que a conciencia de los primeros resultó fundamental para dar pie a transformaciones pastorales y sociales que acercaran más a la Iglesia al feligrés.

ABSTRACT: The 20th century served as a starting point for the Church to decide to renew part of its pastoral and evangelizing structure, Latin America was a fundamental part of the proposed changes. The objective of this monograph is to understand the dynamics of relations between parishioners and priests in Medellín and Antioquia through the concept of "Clerical Rebellion", after the Second Vatican Council and the Second Conference of the Latin American Episcopate. For this purpose, we collected a series of primary sources and bibliography that would answer the hypothesis, which are framed in testimonies and archival sources that were directly related. As part of the process, the antecedents that made possible the Second Vatican Council and the Second Conference of the Latin American Episcopate were identified. In a second moment, the changes in the administration of the sacraments before and after the council were distinguished. Finally, the social and ecclesial function of the "poor" within post-conciliar Medellín was analyzed. It was possible to identify that there were changes in the forms of relationship through the administration of the sacraments and the perceptions that priests had of the conciliar documents. Based on the new interpretations, part of the clergy made decisions that their superiors considered radical, but that in the conscience of the former were fundamental to give rise to pastoral and social transformations that brought the Church closer to the parishioner.
