Dinámicas e intereses del poder geopolítico en Colombia en los años 2018 a 2022

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este documento tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis completo de la dinámica geopolítica de Colombia durante la administración del presidente Iván Duque Márquez, que abarca el período de 2018 a 2022. Destaca cómo, luego de un momento de reconocimiento internacional al final del gobierno de Juan Manuel Santos, la llegada del presidente Duque marcó un cambio en las políticas internacionales de Colombia que afectará su posición geopolítica. Durante su mandato se exploran tres grandes conflictos fronterizos: uno con Venezuela, caracterizado por la crisis interna venezolana y la migración hacia Colombia; otro con Panamá por migración a Estados Unidos por la zona de "El Darién"; y un pleito con Nicaragua que generó tensiones regionales por diferencias ideológicas. Además, busca identificar los actores y decisiones políticas internas que influyeron en estos eventos geopolíticos, con el objetivo de brindar una perspectiva más profunda sobre el funcionamiento del poder geopolítico y sus implicaciones en la sociedad colombiana. Estos hallazgos se consideran herramientas valiosas para tomar decisiones informadas y mejorar la dinámica geopolítica y social del país.

ABSTRACT: This document aims to carry out a complete analysis of the geopolitical dynamics of Colombia during the administration of President Iván Duque Márquez, which covers the period from 2018 to 2022. It highlights how, after a moment of international recognition at the end of the government of Juan Manuel Santos, the arrival of President Duque marked a change in Colombia's international policies that will affect its geopolitical position. Three major border conflicts are explored during his mandate: one with Venezuela, characterized by the internal Venezuelan crisis and migration to Colombia; another with Panama due to migration to the United States through the "El Darién" area; and a lawsuit with Nicaragua that generated regional tensions due to ideological differences. In addition, it seeks to identify the actors and internal political decisions that influenced these geopolitical events, with the aim of providing a deeper perspective on the functioning of geopolitical power and its implications in Colombian society. These findings are considered valuable tools for making informed decisions and improving the geopolitical and social dynamics of the country.
