Resumen : RESUMEN: Objetivo: Caracterizar la importancia del reporte de eventos adversos relacionados con las tecnologías en salud en las clínicas y hospitales de Colombia en los últimos 10 años. Metodología: Se realiza revisión de la literatura a nivel general sobre el reporte de eventos adversos derivados de la atención en salud. Resultados: El reporte de eventos adversos tiene una marcada importancia en la política de seguridad del paciente, por lo tanto, es imprescindible realizarlo, con el fin de aportar positivamente a nivel de salud pública. En la búsqueda bibliográfica se encontraron varios motivos por los cuales no se realiza el reporte de eventos adversos, entre los cuales destaca de manera relevante el temor que siente el personal a las represalias ante la ocurrencia y reporte de algún evento adverso. Se proponen algunas estrategias a las instituciones a nivel de procesos y métodos para mitigar las causales de no reporte de eventos adversos. Conclusiones: En la recopilación de los diferentes contenidos teóricos hay relación en que una de las causas para la omisión es el miedo al castigo que tiene el personal de salud. Han asociado el reporte de EA con algo punitivo, que puede traer repercusiones para la hoja de vida o el cargo que desempeña. De acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos se realizan algunas recomendaciones a las instituciones, profesionales en salud, al ente regulatorio, pacientes y familiares, promoviendo la cultura del reporte de eventos adversos y adherencia al mismo. Results: ADRs has a grand importance in patient safety politics, therefore, doing them is essential with the purpose of positively help in public health. In the literature search, several reasons were found for not reporting adverse events, among which the fear that staff feel of retaliation for the occurrence and reporting of any adverse event stands out. Some strategies are proposed to institutions at the level of processes and methods to mitigate the causes of non-reporting of adverse events. Conclusions: The compilation of the different theoretical contents is related in that one of the causes for the omission is the fear of punishment that health personnel have. They have associated the ADR with something punitive, which can have repercussions for the resume or the position held. According to the obtained results, we are done some recommendations to institutions, health-care professionals, regulatory bodies, patients & families, where it is promoting the reporting culture and adherence to it.
