Afecciones autoinmunes : de fenómeno a síntoma

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article proposes the hypothesis that autoimmune conditions could be understood as symptoms, which opens up a new clinical perspective on this matter. This work investigates the idea of conversive symptoms in Freud and Lacan’s notion that a symptom is an event of the body. It also presents the logics that could result in an autoimmune condition in some people: either as a purely organic phenomenal manifestation that does not concern them as subjects; as a phenomenon that becomes a symptom thanks to the introduction of a word device; or as a symptom constituted before interviews conducted during this investigation.

RESUMEN: El presente artículo plantea la hipótesis de que la afección autoinmune podría devenir síntoma, lo cual abre una nueva perspectiva clínica. Se hace un recorrido por la concepción del síntoma conversivo en Freud y por la consideración del síntoma como acontecimiento del cuerpo en Lacan; igualmente, se presentan las lógicas que podría tener la afección autoinmune en algunas personas: como manifestación fenoménica puramente orgánica que no los concierne como sujetos; como fenómeno que se vuelve síntoma gracias a la introducción de un dispositivo de palabra, y como síntoma constituido antes de las entrevistas de la investigación.
