El reconocimiento como hilo que teje eudaimonía (felicidad) y areté (virtud)

Abstract

ABSTARCT: This paper approaches the issue of recognition from the standpoint of two contemporary European philosophers: Ricoeur and Honneth. Recognition is a means to recreate the horizons that become the possibilities to weave eudaimonía (happiness) and areté (virtue) into the social context, likewise, this can be the alternative before disdain as an experience of non-recognition that silences the other. Is the relationship with the others which is focused in self-acceptance, care for the others, self-validation, and recognition of the others in both the private and public domains, which can turn human experience into an experience of agape.

RESUMEN: El presente artículo aborda el problema del reconocimiento desde la perspectiva de dos filósofos contemporáneos europeos, Ricoeur y Honneth. Desde el reconocimiento se pueden recrear horizontes que devienen posibilidad de tejer eudaimonía (felicidad) y areté (virtud) en el contexto social, así mismo puede ser ésta la alternativa frente al menosprecio como experiencia de no reconocimiento que silencia al otro. Es la relación con los demás en clave de acogida de sí y cuidado del otro, de validación de sí y reconocimiento del otro en el ámbito privado y público la que puede tornar la experiencia humana en experiencia de ágape.
