La sombra de Paulo Freire en la educación desde lo pedagógico, lo social y lo político

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los aportes significativos de Paulo Freire a la educación son muchos, hoy en esta conmemoración después de 10 años de su desaparición se quieren reconocer algunos desde La Pedagogía del Oprimido, el texto que dio la vuelta al mundo con una nueva concepción liberadora; La Educación para la Libertad donde se presenta la reflexión y la acción como estrategia metodológica e investigativa para que los pueblos oprimidos puedan mirarse a sí mismos y encontrar solución a sus problemas; La Educación y la Política, que plantea el reto que tiene la educación cuando mira lo social y lo político como espacios obligados para compartir desde la enseñanza de la tolerancia como virtud en el reconocimiento y respeto del otro y, finalmente Cartas a quien pretende Enseñar, que elabora el enseñar a pensar como el camino hacia el conocimiento.

ABSTARCT: There are too many the contributions of Freire to education. Today, when we commemorate 10 years of his passing away it is important to recognize some of his highlights. Beginning with The pedagogy of the oppressed, the book that has traveled the world carrying with it the new conscience of liberation; Education for freedom where he presents reflection and action as the research strategy for oppressed populations to look at themselves and find solutions to their problems; Education and politics that formulates the challenge that education has to attend the social and political dimensions in teaching tolerance; and finally, Letters to whom may become an educator, that elaborates on the teaching of learning how to think as the path to knowledge.
