Corrientes críticas en el trabajo social Latinoamericano

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Objective. The purpose of this article is to approach the Latin American social criticism from three valid currents of thought in social work: liberal, socio-critical and decolonial. Methodology. To do this, a bibliographical review from a contextual historical and epistemic perspective was necessary, which allowed to show its anchorage in the Latin American scenario, and to relate it later with the disciplinary development of social work in relation to the readings about social reality, the subject dimension and the scope of social change. Results. This allowed the possibility to watch the simultaneous presence of these currents in contemporaneity. Conclusions. The linear perspective in the historicity of social work corresponds to exercises of power over knowledge to make a single version prevail and to broaden the spectrum of social criticism, thus allowing the possibility to widen the links of social work with the libertarian struggles of our time.

RESUMEN: El propósito de este artículo es abordar la crítica social latinoamericana desde tres corrientes de pensamiento, vigentes en el trabajo social: liberal, sociocrítica y decolonial. Metodología. Para su elaboración fue necesaria la revisión bibliográfica, desde una perspectiva contextual, histórica y epistemológica, que permitiese mostrar su anclaje en el escenario latinoamericano, para relacionarla luego con el desarrollo disciplinar del trabajo social, en cuanto a las lecturas de realidad social, la dimensión del sujeto y los alcances del cambio social. Resultados. Lo anterior permitió avizorar la presencia simultánea de estas corrientes en la contemporaneidad. Conclusiones. La perspectiva lineal en la historicidad del trabajo social corresponde a ejercicios de poder sobre el conocimiento, para hacer prevalecer una sola versión y ampliar el espectro de la crítica social, permite ensanchar los vínculos del trabajo social con las luchas libertarias de nuestro tiempo.
