Abstract

RESUMEN: El transcurrir eónico del tiempo traza un destino marcado por la imposibilidad de ajustarse a la secuencia cronológica del tiempo, y la frustración y el temor de la estirpe Buendía reflejan su impotencia para experimentar un tiempo decisivo o kairológico que se aparta del cronológico. Dicho destino es como un torbellino que se desgasta y deteriora progresivamente en su eje hasta la catástrofe. Se evidencia el des-atino del hombre por no disponer de la ocasión propicia que corresponda al caso de una oportunidad, cuando Macondo es devastado por el desgaste del eje. Su devastación, incaptable justo en el momento caótico del instante, deja entrever al mismo tiempo la supresión total del poder-ser del hombre.

ABSTRACT: The eonic passing of time draws a destiny marked by the impossibility of adjusting to the chronological sequence of time, and the frustration and the fear of the Buendía lineage re ect their impotence to experiment a decisive and kairological time which deviates from the chronological one. The said destiny is like a Maelström that progressively wears out and deteriorates on its axis until it reaches catastrophe. The blunder of man is evidenced due to the lack of the propitious occasion that would correspond to the case of an opportunity, when Macondo is devastated by the wearing-out of the axis. Its devastation, imperceptible just in the chaotic moment of the instant, enables one, at the same time, to make out the total suppression of man ́s power to be.
