Percepción de la salud y la enfermedad en la comunidad afrodescendiente del corregimiento de Pacurita - municipio de Quibdó (Chocó)

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este documento es el resultado del trabajo etnográfico realizado en la comunidad afrodescendiente del corregimiento de Pacurita perteneciente al municipio de Quibdó – Chocó donde teniendo en cuenta la historia de las comunidades afro en el país y los diversos elementos asociados a tratar las enfermedades y conservar la salud se toma como objetivo principal analizar las percepciones que tiene la comunidad respecto a los conceptos de salud y enfermedad y las prácticas culturales que se utilizan para tratar a estas. Para darle cumplimiento a este objetivo se utilizó una metodología de corte cualitativo caracterizada por dos momentos, el primero centrado en la recopilación de la información a través de revisiones bibliográficas y trabajo en conjunto con la comunidad. El segundo análisis de la información recolecta a través de la creación de categorías con el fin de organizar y sistematizar la información para la creación del informe final.

ABSTRACT: This document is the result of the ethnographic work carried out in the afrodescendant community of the Pacurita district belonging to the municipality of Quibdó - Chocó, taking into account the history of Afro communities in the country and the various elements associated with treating diseases and maintaining health. The main objective is to analyze the perceptions that the community has regarding the concepts of health and disease and the cultural practices that are used to treat them. In order to comply with this objective, a qualitative methodology was used, characterized by two moments, the first focused on the collection of information through bibliographic reviews and work in conjunction with the community. The second analysis of the information collected through the creation of categories in order to organize and systematize the information for the creation of the final report.
