Análisis iconográfico de la cerámica prehispánica del Altiplano Nariñense

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo principal la realización de un análisis iconográfico de la cerámica prehispánica del Altiplano Nariñense. Para esto hemos partido del presupuesto inicial de que, tanto la cerámica como las imágenes representadas a través de esta constituyen signos que son creados y transmitidos en los procesos de interacción social. En la metodología desarrollada se retomaron los tres niéveles de análisis propuestos por Erwin Panofsky realizando adaptaciones que permitieran su uso en la arqueología a la vez que se integraron algunas nociones de semiótica.

ABSTRACT: The main objective of this work was to perform an iconographic analysis of the prehispanic pottery of the Altiplano Nariñense. It started from the initial assumption that both the pottery and the images represented through it, are signs that are created and transmitted in the processes of social interaction. In the developed methodology, the three levels of analysis proposed by Erwin Panofsky were carry on, making adaptations that allowed their use in archaeology, while some notions of semiotics were integrated.
