Simbiogénesis : devenir más allá de lo humano

Abstract

RESUMEN: Parpadeo cósmico. Esta propuesta de investigación creación pretende configurar mi postura personal y mi proceso artístico en función de la gratitud y la cercanía hacia las plantas y los animales. La inminente crisis ecológica, un recorrido por referentes tanto teóricos como artísticos y por el panorama del arte en nuestro contexto, resaltan la pertinencia de concepciones, prácticas e interacciones restauradoras y respetuosas hacia la tierra y los vivientes no humanos. Para desarrollar mi propio proceso encuentro apoyo en la simbiogénesis, concepto biológico en el cual “La vida ‘independiente’ tiende a juntarse y a resurgir como un nuevo todo en un nivel superior y más amplio de organización.” (Margulis, 2002, pág. 22). Esta asociación de diferentes organismos que conviven en beneficio mutuo transformándose en un nuevo ser, es permeada por la fantasía para dar como resultado a los simbiontes, entidades con un carácter místico en el que convergen el respeto y la empatía hacia la vida. Para su materialización integro prácticas como el dibujo y la manipulación textil, junto con acciones cotidianas como la jardinería, la alimentación, y estrategias que involucran la sostenibilidad y el hacer artesanal como proceso reflexivo que celebra la vida y su diversidad.

ABSTACT: Cosmic Flicker. This research proposal aims to express my personal stand and my artistic process based on gratitude and closeness to plants and animals. The imminent ecological crisis, a journey through both theoretical and artistic references and the art scene in our context, highlight the relevance of restorative and respectful conceptions, practices and interactions towards the earth and non-human beings. To develop my own process, I find support in symbiogenesis, a biological concept in which "‘independent’ life tends to come together and resurface as a new whole at a higher and broader level of organization." (Margulis, 2002, p. 22). This association of different organisms that coexist for mutual benefit, transforming into a new being, is permeated by fantasy to result in symbionts, entities with a mystical character in which respect and empathy for life converge. For its materialization, I integrate practices such as drawing and textile manipulation. Along with daily practices such as gardening, eating and other strategies that involve sustainability and artisan practices as a reflective process that celebrates life and its diversity.
