Estética hermenéutica y hermenéutica de la imagen. La articulación de imagen y lenguaje en H. G. Gadamer y G. Boehm

Abstract

RESUMEN: El artículo expone el significado y los objetivos de la Estética hermenéutica. representada en la filosofía de Gadamer, y de la Hermenéutica de la imagen, representada por la Teoría del arte de Boehm. Ambas propuestas tienen sus raíces en la filosofía y el arte contemporáneos, pero permiten una experiencia nueva de la Historia del arte en general. El interés de ambas propuestas se resume en dos aspectos: evitar aislar la imagen de la comprensión en que siempre nos movemos, y evitar que el forzoso lenguaje discursivo de la interpretación suplante la imagen artística.

ABSTRACT: This article exposes the meaning and aims ofHermeneutic Aesthetics, expressed in Gadamer's Philosophy, and those o f Hermeneutics of Image, represented by Boehm's Theory o f Art. Though both proposals root in Contemporary Art and Philosophy, they suggest a new experience of the History ofArt in its wider sense. Their main interest is to avoid the isolation of image From the spheres of comprehension with which we are acquainted, and to avoid as well the supplanting of artistic image by the rigid discursive language of interpretation.
