Entre realidad y ficción. La ecfrasis literaria en "el engañoso cuadro" de Pedro Gómez Valderrama

Abstract

RESUMEN: Un examen panorámico de la obra literaria de Pedro Gómez Valderrama (1923-1992) sugiere una esporádica alusión al arte visual. Sin embargo, una revisión detenida de la misma permite ver que el escritor planteó en sus textos una auténtica mirada sobre el arte a partir de la relación historia-literatura. Este artículo presenta un análisis de uno de sus cuentos en el que se puede identificar claramente el tema artístico a través del uso de la ecfrasis literaria. Así, se hace referencia a la pintura de Mazepa y a cómo el escritor juega con la ambigüedad mítica del personaje real, aprovechando el aspecto histórico, el carácter romántico de la obra pictórica y la construcción literaria

ABSTRACT: A panoramic exam toward Pedro Gómez Valderrama ́s literary work, suggest a sporadic reference to the visual art. However a detailed assessment of it allows us to perceive that the writer set out in his writings a genuine look on the road to the art considering the re-lation among history-literature. This article expound an analysis of one of his stories in which it is possible to identify with clarity the artistic topic by means of literary ekphrasis. Thus, the paint of Mazepa it is referred and the way how the writer plays with the mythic ambiguity of the real character, making the most of both the historical aspect, the romantic nature of the pictorial and the literary construction.
