Amor a sombra y sol de Manuel Cofiño

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este artículo presenta una breve biografía de Manuel Cofiño, que incluye una entrevista con su última esposa, y un análisis de la novela Amor a sombra y sol. Este obra es muy importante dentro de la literatura cubana de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Se resalta no sólo la calidad literaria, sino la relación entre la obra y el contexto socioeconómico, político y cultural de la historia reciente de Cuba.

ABSTRACT: The article presents a brief biography of Manuel Cofiño, which includes an interview with his wife, and an analysis of his novel Love in the Shade and Sun. This work is very important in Cuban literature in the second half of the 20th century. The novel is relevant not only for its literary quality, but also because the relation between the work and the socioeconomic, political and cultural context of Cuba's recent history.

RESUMO: Cet article présente une brève biographie de Manuel Cofiño, ainsi qu’une interview de sa dernière épouse et une analyse du roman: Amour à l’ombre et au soleil, œuvre majeur de la littérature cubaine de cette deuxième moitié du XXème siècle, non seulement pour sa qualité littéraire, mais aussi pour la relation entre celle-ci et le contexte socioéconomique, politique et culturel qui apparaît clairement et se nourrit de l’histoire moderne de Cuba.
