Cuerpo y movimiento : Narraciones del pensamiento afrodiaspórico desde la danza

Abstract

RESUMEN: el cuerpo es un tema de profundo interés antropológico. Sin embargo, históricamente los estudios sobre este han tenido connotaciones negativas, invalidando muchas de sus expresiones artísticas, como la danza. Así mismo, las comunidades negras han vivido una violencia histórica que los ha silenciado durante siglos, transgrediendo no solo su pensamiento cultural, sino también, sus rituales ancestrales, sus bailes, sus ritmos tradicionales. Este trabajo es una apuesta por reconocer que aquellas prácticas que han sido invisibles en Occidente, han salido a la luz del mercado, a través de las redes sociales, para nutrir de distintas formas al sistema capital, generando como consecuencia, pero no en todos los casos, unos beneficios para algunas comunidades que continúan siendo marginadas. La danza es el eje clave de esta investigación, pues es bajo este lenguaje no verbal, que muchas personas han empezado a resignificar ante el mundo, el valor de sus pueblos y de sus movimientos, desde una afirmación política afrodiaspórica, desde la construcción de unas identidades que son transmitidas y narradas desde el movimiento, visibilizando los cuerpos negros, que han estado bajo relaciones desiguales de poder.

ABSTRACT: the body is a deep anthropologic interest topic. Whereas the historical studies about it, have negatively had connotations, which have invalidated several artistic expressions, such as dance. Therefore, African communities have lived a historical violence that has been silenced during centuries, transgressing not only their cultural knowledge, also their ancestral rituals, dance, and traditional rhythms. The purpose of this thesis is to highlight these practices, which have been invisible to the West, and expose the current capital system of commerce through the social media which feeds it; simultaneously causing corruption and in other cases economic benefits for a few communities that are still marginalized.

Dance is the key pivot from this research work that illustrates the nonverbal language that many people have begun to recognise in the face of the world, the value of people and their movements from Afro-diasporic political affirmation, which is based on the construction of identities, which are transmitted and narrated by the dance, showing the black bodies that have been under unequal power relations.
