Los conceptos modernos de revolución y progreso. Apuntes para el análisis filosófico-histórico del contexto colombiano de siglo XX: La Revolución en Marcha (1934-1938)

Abstract

RESUMEN: Los acontecimientos y los conceptos con que ellos son nombrados son elementos de la historia. A partir de la modernidad puede verse cómo ambos elementos coexisten en ella recíprocamente, pues, por un lado, los hombres utilizan los conceptos que poseen en su bagaje lingüístico para nombrar acciones, experiencias y deseos; y, por otro, los conceptos amplían su contenido semántico cuando en este proceso de articulación lingüística son usados para nombrar acciones humanas cargadas con sentido novedoso: nunca antes pensadas ni hechas, así que el concepto que las nombra se amplía para abarcar lo novedoso. Se deduce que los conceptos tienen historia y revisar dicha historia permite comprender cómo los conceptos se acoplan y son usados para nombrar y narrar determinados acontecimientos y momentos históricos. Por ejemplo, analizar los conceptos de Revolución y Progreso, y extraer apuntes que permitan comprender cómo fue posible que ellos atravesaran la historia política colombiana de la primera mitad del siglo XX.

ABSTRACT: Events and concepts with they are named are elements of history. It can be viewed from Modernity how both elements coexist reciprocally in history because, first one: men use the concepts of their linguistically baggage to name actions, experiences and desires; second one: concepts enlarge its semantically content when, in this linguistically articulation process, they are used to name human actions charged with a novel sense: never thought nor made before; so, the concept that names them gets enlarged to include the novel element. It is deducted that concepts have history and reviewing that history allows to understand how concepts are coupled and used to name and to relate some events and historical moments. For example, to analyze the concepts of Revolution and Progress, and to extract notes that allow to understand how it was possible that they passed the Colombian political history in the first half of XX century.
