Apuntes antropológicos al proceso de violencia en Colombia

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este ejercicio parte de la consideración que a la Antropología no le es extraña –al menos no debería serle- ninguna expresión o manifestación de la cultura. Ello en el entendido que el hombre vive en, por y para ella, y mutatis mutandi, también se muere de cultura, y no solo de clase social. Un largo y luctuoso período de la historia de Colombia fue el escenario en el que muchas vidas fueron sacrificadas por asuntos que ignoraban tanto víctimas como victimarios, o como quien dice, mataron unos y murieron otros, en medio de la más oscura ignorancia. Pero, de cuando en cuando las paradojas se materializan, se evidencian: con las mismas armas con las que un día se derramó la sangre del hermano, al siguiente se levanta un monumento, una obra de arte, una obra de la más fina sensibilidad estética. Pareciera ser que el hombre tiene el prurito de erigir una estatua, una obra estética, allí donde ultimó al enemigo, donde sepultó al hermano; hace del “residuo” una “derivación” (Pareto, 1916) , convierte en algo sublime lo que ayer fuera su mezquindad. Esto mismo ocurre con la obra literaria, al embellecer con palabras los regueros de sangre y escombros. Esa es la razón por la que este trabajo atisba en la obra literaria, en la novela, la poesía y el ensayo aquellos “testimonios” de lo acontecido en la designada por los historiadores como “Violencia Política” en Colombia. Se trata de un ejercicio de investigar el acontecimiento histórico en la literatura.

ABSTRACT: this exercise is based on the consideration that Anthropology is not strange – at least it should not be – any expression or manifestation of culture. This in the understanding that man lives in, by and for her, and mutatis mutandi, he also dies of culture, and not only of social class. A long and mournful period in the history of Colombia was the scene in which many lives were sacrificed for issues that both victims and perpetrators ignored, or as they say, they killed some and died others, in the midst of the darkest ignorance. But, from time to time the paradoxes materialize, they become evident: with the same weapons with which one day the brother's blood was shed, the next a monument, a work of art, a work of the finest aesthetic sensibility is raised. It seems that man has the itch to erect a statue, an aesthetic work, there where he killed the enemy, where he buried his brother; it makes the “residue” a “derivation” (Pareto, 1916) (Wallerstein, 2008), it turns into something sublime what yesterday was its pettiness. The same happens with the literary work, by embellishing the trails of blood and rubble with words. That is the reason why this work glimpses in the literary work, in the novel, the poetry and the essay those "testimonies" of what happened in what historians designate as "Political Violence" in Colombia. It is an exercise of investigating the historical event in the literary.
