Resumen : Introduction. This research, a pioneer in the Ibero-America context in the field of information literacy, aims to understand the vision of a qualified group of experts about the conceptualization and dimensions of information literacy in interplay with other literacies: computational, multimedia, cultural, etc. Method. Applying the Delphi method, a questionnaire composed of 20 questions was sent to fifty-two experts from fourteen Ibero-American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela). In this first stage of the study, forty-two experts responded. Results. It is evident that there is a very homogeneous conceptualisation of experts regarding the dimensions and scope of information literacy and the interrelationships with information technology skills. However, the correlation with the media and cultural literacies generates different perspectives. Conclusions. Information literacy as a theoretical-conceptual and methodological paradigm has evolved considerably in the Ibero-American context during the last decade. However, it still has some immaturity and lacks the necessary interaction and impact for implementation in various learning environments, particularly in the areas of primary and secondary education. Therefore, this collective reflection helps towards a mature conceptualisation of information literacy, thereby contributing to its visibility and international standing. How to cite this paper
