Tenencia de la tierra: economía y sociedad en el resguardo de Cumbal, Nariño 1950-1961

Abstract

RESUMEN: El resguardo del Gran Cumbal para 1950 fue uno de los municipios prósperos de la región. Los cambios en las dinámicas económicas a nivel regional hicieron que el resguardo adoptara transformaciones en la forma de relación con la tierra, llevando a agudizar el problema de esta dentro del resguardo debido a su emergencia en el mercado capitalista regional. El Estado empezó a visibilizar esta problemática y hacerle frente a partir de 1961 con la reforma agraria en cabeza del Instituto Nacional Colombiano de Reforma Agraria (INCORA). Por esto, a través del análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo de escrituras notariales, censos, documentos parroquiales, estadísticos y del cabildo se pretende dar respuesta a las implicaciones económicas y sociales que se presentaron en el resguardo a causa de la inserción en una economía capitalista nacional sobre la tenencia de la tierra entre 1950 y 1961.

ABSTRACT: The reservation of Gran Cumbal by 1950 was one of the prosperous municipalities in the region. The changes in the economic dynamics at the regional level made the reservation adopt transformations in the form of relationship with the land, leading to exacerbate the problem of this within the reservation due to its emergence in the regional capitalist market. The State began to make this problem visible and to face it from 1961 with the agrarian reform led by the Colombian National Institute of Agrarian Reform (INCORA).
