Género y escuela: dos escenas de Sex Education

Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo, luego de apelar a la experiencia, abordó las relaciones sexo – género al interior de la escuela. En éstas se observan procesos y efectos de la discriminación que la norma heterosexual vigente produce en esos entornos y que se ve reflejada o explicitada en cuestiones obligatorias, como el uso de uniformes, que marcan una ubicación de género en dos elecciones posibles y ligadas al sexo: niños y niñas, mujeres adolescentes y hombres adolescentes. Si bien existen mil expresiones de estos hechos de clasificación y discriminación en diferentes entornos, no solo el escolar, acá se optó por abordarlos mediante la observación de dos escenas de la serie Sex Education (2019), que logró bastante popularidad en la población juvenil y adolescente. En ambas escenas se pueden apreciar dos aspectos de esta realidad: la conjunción sexo- género a través de las vestimentas y normas de convivencia escolares y, la manera en que, quienes se consideran disidentes de éstas, se encuentran por fuera de lo escolar (pero con raíces allí), forman redes y configuran sus procesos de identificación y desidentificación a través de la transmisión de saberes. Así, se encontró cómo las relaciones entre estética y subjetivación se ponen en juego cuando se trata de abordar pedagógicamente las intervenciones que se hacen del género, en los entornos escolares. ABSTRACT: The present writing, after appealing to the experience, addressed the sex - gender relations within the school. In these, processes and effects of the discrimination that the current heterosexual norm produces in these environments are observed and that is reflected or made explicit in obligatory issues, such as the use of school uniforms, which mark a gender location in two possible and linked elections to sex: boys and girls, adolescent women and adolescent men. Although there are thousands of expressions of these acts of classification and discrimination in different environments, not only the school one, in the present writing, it was decided to address them by observing two scenes from the Sex Education series (2019), which achieved quite a lot of popularity. in the youth and adolescent population.In the scenes mentioned above, two aspects of this reality can be appreciated: the sex-gender conjunction through school clothing and rules of coexistence, and the way in which those who consider themselves dissidents of these, find themselves outside of school (but with links there), form networks and configure their processes of identification and disidentification through the transmission of knowledge. In this way, it was found how the relationships between aesthetics and subjectivation come into play when it comes to pedagogically addressing the interventions that are made of the genre, in school environments.
