Cuidado al paciente politraumatizado

Abstract

RESUMEN: Se define paciente politraumatizado cuando éste recibe lesiones en diversos órganos y sistemas, que le pueden ocasionar la muerte, requiriendo actuaciones de urgencias. El papel del Enfermero es primordial e imprescindible en la atención inicial del politraumatizado. Para el cuidado de estos pacientes es indispensable tener en cuenta en los servicios de urgencias los siguientes principios • Protección personal universal (guantes, gafas y tapabocas) • Seguridad evaluación de peligros y asegurarse que no haya ninguna que amenace su vida. • Evaluar la situación: qué paso, edad, mecanismo de lesión y número de personas involucradas. • Activar el Sistema de Emergencia, solicitar apoyo necesario. Realizar evaluación al paciente.

ABSTRACT: A patient suffering from multiple traumas is defined as having sustained lesions in diverse organs and systems, which could lead to death and requires emergency treatment. The role of the nurse is primary and indispensable in the initial care of patients with multiple trauma. For the care of these patients it is vital to take into account in the dispensing of emergency services these following principles • Universal personal protection (gloves, glasses and facemask) • Security evaluation of risks and making sure that there are none which put your life at risk. • Evaluate the situation: what happened, age, mechanism of the lesion and number of people involved. • Activate Emergency System, solicit necessary support. • Conduct an evaluation of the patient.
