Sucesivos aportes al concepto de adolescencia en la obra freudiana

Abstract

ABSTRACT: A follow-up work is established to the specific reflections made by Freud around adolescence, trying to determine the corresponding theoretical context in each period. It is found that successive theoretical contributions are framed in three moments of Freud’s work: the first psychopathological explanations of neurosis in the late nineteenth century, the rethinking that induces the development of the theory of infantile sexuality, and finally, the revaluation of the etiological role of the Oedipus Complex, associated to maintaining the notion of après-coup (Nachträglichkeit). This way, the profile is not only identified and outlined from the more general theories underlying the dispersed propositions, but some of these statements are recognized as essential contributions to the contemporary conception of adolescence.

RESUMEN: Se hace un seguimiento a las reflexiones puntuales hechas por Freud en torno a la adolescencia, buscando determinar su correspondiente contexto teórico en cada época. Se encuentra que los sucesivos aportes teóricos están enmarcados en tres momentos de la obra freudiana: las primeras explicaciones psicopatológicas acerca de las neurosis a fines del siglo XIX, el replanteamiento que induce el desarrollo de la teoría de la sexualidad infantil, y, por último, la revaloración del papel etiológico del Complejo de Edipo, asociada al mantenimiento de la noción de après-coup (Nachträglichkeit). De esta manera no solamente se identifica y esboza el perfil de las teorizaciones más generales que subyacen a las proposiciones dispersas, sino que se reconocen algunos de estos enunciados como contribuciones indispensables a la concepción contemporánea de la adolescencia.
