Matar, sancionar y corregir: Control territorial de las Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia en los barrios La Sierra, Villa Turbay, Villa Lilliam de la comuna 8 -Villa Hermosa de Medellín entre 2008-2022

Abstract

RESUMEN: La presente investigación tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis del control territorial ejercido por las Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia (AGC) en los barrios La Sierra, Villa Turbay y Villa Lilliam de la comuna 8 en Medellín, durante el periodo de 2008 a 2022. Con este propósito, se exponen las trayectorias violentas que han marcado la comuna 8 como escenario, resaltando la presencia histórica de grupos armados ilegales, entre los que destacan las Milicias 6 y 7 de Noviembre, el Bloque Metro y el Bloque Cacique Nutibara. Esto se hace con el fin de evidenciar las reconfiguraciones violentas que el territorio ha experimentado debido a los conflictos y la cooptación dé espacios por parte de estos grupos. Estas dinámicas han establecido un precedente en términos de continuidad y evolución en sus métodos y prácticas. Por lo tanto, la investigación resalta cómo las AGC no solo logran una cooptación y un control hegemónico a través de procesos de violencia física, sino también mediante estrategias aprendidas y heredadas de estos actores anteriores para mantener su dominio. En este contexto, se analiza cómo las AGC han establecido códigos paralelos al aparato estatal colombiano, ejerciendo regulación sobre aspectos sociales, económicos y políticos en la vida cotidiana de los habitantes. Así pues, la investigación busca comprender cómo las AGC han mantenido su control en los barrios La Sierra, Villa Turbay y Villa Lilliam de la comuna 8 de Medellín a lo largo de los años, considerando sus estrategias de dominio y regulación, así como el impacto en la vida cotidiana de los habitantes. Esto brinda una visión esclarecedora sobre la presencia y las operaciones de grupos armados en contextos urbanos, así como el impacto a nivel micro territorial y para la población local.

ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to analyze the territorial control exercised by the Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia (AGC) in La Sierra, Villa Turbay and Villa Lilliam neighborhoods of commune 8 in Medellín, during the period from 2008 to 2022. With this purpose, the violent trajectories that have marked commune 8 as a scenario are exposed, highlighting the historical presence of illegal armed groups, among which stand out the 6th and 7th of November Militias, the Metro Bloc and the Cacique Nutibara Bloc. This is done in order to demonstrate the violent reconfigurations that the territory has experienced due to conflicts and the co-optation of spaces by these groups. These dynamics have established a precedent in terms of continuity and evolution in their methods and practices. Therefore, the research highlights how the CGA not only achieve cooptation and hegemonic control through processes of physical violence, but also through strategies learned and inherited from these previous actors to maintain their dominance. In this context, we analyze how the CGA have established parallel codes to the Colombian state apparatus, regulating social, economic and political aspects of the daily lives of the inhabitants. Thus, the research seeks to understand how the AGC have maintained their control in the La Sierra, Villa Turbay and Villa Lilliam neighborhoods of Medellín's comuna 8 over the years, with the aim of understanding how the AGC have maintained their control in the neighborhoods of La Sierra, Villa Turbay and Villa Lilliam in Medellín's comuna 8 over the years, taking under consideration their domination and regularions strategies as well as the impact on the daily lives of the inhabitants.
