La afectividad y nuevas construcciones de masculinidades

Abstract

RESUMEN: Esta tesis presenta los resultados y conclusiones de la investigación “La afectividad y nuevas construcciones de masculinidades”, la cual tuvo por objetivo comprender el papel de la afectividad en las construcciones de masculinidades en tres adultos de Medellín, su Área Metropolitana y Bogotá – Colombia, que se identifican como hombres hetero-cis y que han participado o participan de entornos donde se proponen nuevas formas de masculinidades. Se realizaron 3 estudios de caso, dos en Bogotá con el cofundador del colectivo hombres y masculinidades y un participante de la iniciativa “sentipensar las masculinidades”, el último en Medellín con un hombre barbero y dueño de una barbería. En lo que respecta a resultados se encontró que estos hombres hetero-cis género han construido sus formas de masculinidades desde nichos afectivos en donde se encontraron con diferentes relaciones y contextos que suscitaron 3 tipos de masculinidades: una hippie trasgresora, una emancipatoria y una nea, con unos afectos representativos en cada uno, en su orden, afectos coloridos, afectos tímidos y afectos bizarros. Se concluye que las construcciones de masculinidades son performáticas afectivas del género que se construyen de manera relacional partiendo desde nichos afectivos los cuales suscitan o no cambios según el flujo de capitales (culturales, simbólicos, económicos, sexuales) que se configuren en los espacios habitados, sentidos y en los que se relacionen.

ABSTRACT: This thesis presents the results and conclusions of the research "Affectivity and new constructions of masculinities". The general objective was to understand the role of affectivity in the constructions of masculinities in three adults from Medellín, its Metropolitan Area and Bogotá - Colombia, who identify as hetero-cis men and who have used or participated in environments where new forms of masculinities are proposed. The methodology used is three case studies were carried out, two in Bogotá with the co-founder of the “men and masculinities” collective and a participant of the initiative “fell thinking the masculinities”, the last one of the cases was in Medellín with a male barber and owner of a barbershop. Regarding the results, it was found that these hetero-cis gender men have built their forms of masculinities from affective niches where they encountered different relationships and contexts that gave rise to 3 types of masculinities: a transgressive hippie, an emancipatory one, and a Nea masculinity. with some representative affects in each one, in their order, colorful affects, timid affects and bizarre affects. It is concluded that the constructions of masculinities are affective performances of the gender that are constructed in a relational way starting from affective niches which arouse or do not change according to the flow of capitals (cultural, symbolic, economic, sexual) that are configured in the inhabited spaces, senses and in which they are related.
