Una visión de sociedad en Medellín desde las narrativas de la comunidad metalera en la década de 1980

Abstract

RESUMEN: La comunidad metalera en Medellín para la década de 1980 se estableció como un movimiento juvenil que promovió una perspectiva diferente de abordar y percibir el entorno social del cual hacían parte. La situación que se vivía para ese entonces en la ciudad moldeó las actitudes contestatarias y rebeldes que caracterizaban a esta tribu urbana. El clima de violencia, inseguridad y discriminación hicieron que este grupo de jóvenes buscara una nueva forma de expresarse ante la sociedad y el estado, utilizando como vehículo el Metal, trayendo con esto una nueva forma de manifestación cultural y social que iba mucho más allá de un consumismo pasivo de la música. La base para el desarrollo del texto estará sustentada principalmente en fuentes orales; las cuales se verán reflejadas en las entrevistas realizadas a algunos miembros de la comunidad metalera que pertenecieron a este movimiento en la década de 1980; además de contar con el apoyo de podcast y documentales. Lo anterior, se complementará con bibliografía referente a dicho tema que servirá para comprender desde una perspectiva particular las interacciones, discursos y narrativas de la comunidad metalera con respecto a la sociedad de ese momento.

ABSTRACT: The Metal community of Medellín in the decade of 1980, was set up as a young movement that promoted a different perspective to address and perceive the social environment of which they were part of. The situation of that moment in the city shaped the rebellious attitudes that distinguished to this urban tribe. The atmosphere of violence, insecurity, and discrimination made that this group of young people looked for a new way of expression into the society and the State, using as a vehicle to the Metal, bringing with this a new form of cultural and social manifestation that went beyond of a passive consumerism of music. The basis to the development of the text mainly will be supported by orals sources, which will be reflected in the interviews that were made to some members of the Metal community that belonged to this movement in the decade of 1980. Besides it has the support of podcast and documentaries. The above, will be complemented by bibliography referent to the topic to understand from a particular perspective the interactions, discourses, and narratives of the Metal community with respect to the society of that moment.
