Los factores del abstencionismo electoral en El Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia en las elecciones (2006 - 2022)

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este artículo tiene por objeto analizar el fenómeno del abstencionismo electoral, específicamente los factores o causas que lo han motivado en el municipio del Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia en el periodo comprendido entre 2006 y el 2022. Esta investigación utiliza un enfoque cualitativo que permite un acercamiento al fenómeno de manera inductiva, y del método del estudio de caso que permite identificar y describir, recurriendo a la investigación bibliográfica y a entrevistas semiestructuradas, los factores del fenómeno que se han presentado en el territorio. Y así formular la hipótesis de que el factor de la desconfianza o desafección en el sistema político como la principal causa posible del fenómeno abstencionista en el municipio.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to analyze the phenomenon of electoral abstentionism, specifically the factors or causes that have motivated it in the municipality of Carmen de Viboral, Antioquia in the period between 2006 and 2022. This research uses a qualitative approach that allows an inductive approach to the phenomenon, and the case study method that allows identifying and describing, resorting to bibliographic research and semi-structured interviews, the factors of the phenomenon that have occurred in the territory. And thus formulate the hypothesis that the factor of distrust or disaffection in the political system as the main possible cause of the abstentionist phenomenon in the municipality.
