Arte y realidad en Hernando Tejada

Abstract

RESUMEN: Hernando Tejada (1924 - 1998) desarrolla una obra en múltiples direcciones que hace muy difícil su encuadre en los esquemas habituales del arte. La frecuente vinculación que se le atribuye con el Arte Pop no es adecuada. En su lugar se propone la poética del realismo mágico para discutir su relación con la realidad y sus sistemas de trabajo, en particular los vínculos con la vida cotidiana y los debates entre arte y artesanía.

ABSTRACT: Hernando Tejada (1924-1998) creates an artistic work that develops in several directions, which makes it very difficult to locate into usual artistic schemas. The paper proposes instead, the poetics of magical realism as a more proper context for a discussion of the relationship between art and reality, the creative process, the connections between art and the everyday life, and the debated distinction between art and craft.
