Abstract

ABSTRACT: Some of the journals in the Regeneration were defined as strong opponents of the regime and for this reason they were censured, suspended and fined. This article analyzes the existing ideology in the opposition press from 1890 to 1900 and it studies the content and form of four of the most recognized newspapers for their criticism of the government or the mainstream parties. It also notes the proposals indirectly suggested in their pages.

RESUMEN: Algunas de las publicaciones periódicas de la Regeneración se configuraron como fuertes opositoras al régimen, por lo que fueron censuradas, suspendidas y multadas. En este artículo se analizará la ideología existente en la prensa de oposición de 1890 a 1900 y se estudiará el contenido y la forma de cuatro de los periódicos más reconocidos por su crítica al gobierno o a los partidos hegemónicos, además de señalar las propuestas que indirectamente sugerían en sus páginas.
