Danza y vanguardias : actualidad y perspectivas

Abstract

RESUMEN: La relación que tuvo la danza con las vanguardias permanece sin ser estudiada de un modo profundo, y los pocos estudios que se encuentran, se limitan a establecer la relación de éstas con Diaghilev y sus Ballets Russes. Así pues, revisar conceptos como los de provocación, liberación y autonomía nos permite rescatar a coreógrafos y bailarines que también hicieron grandes contribuciones a las vanguardias y viceversa. Tal es el caso de Isadora Duncan, Löie Fuller y los Ballets Suecos, entre otros. Todo esto para llegar a la conclusión de que la exigencia estética y conceptual que se le hizo a la danza en aquella época, sigue teniendo total validez y vigencia en la reflexión actual sobre la disciplina.

ABSTRACT: This article explores the place of dance in the Avant-garde movement using concepts, such as provocation, liberation and autonomy to understand the contributions dance made to this movements departing from the usual analysis of diaghilev and the Ballet Russes, but also looking at the work of the others choreographers and dancers very seldom associated with the avant-garde like Isadora Duncan, Loie Fuller, Swedish Ballets, among others. This text pretends to show that the relevance of conceptual and aesthetic ideas about dance at that time is still valid in the current discussion concerning the topic.
