Castigo y agresividad

Abstract

RESUMEN: En el contexto del doctorado, cuyo tema es las representaciones que tienen los educadores sobre el castigo físico dirigido a la infancia, se aborda el texto de Sigmund Freud El Malestar en la cultura, para preguntarle qué concepción tiene él allí sobre el castigo. Refiere el autor que el castigo parece estar alentado por una intención agresiva, bien del lado de los progenitores o bien del lado del superyó, instancia que los sustituye y que es el reservorio de todo el odio suscitado por el padre como representante de la ley. Así las cosas, no se refiere Freud al castigo como un acto comandado por el amor. De ello queda una pregunta abierta: ¿está siempre el castigo emparentado con la agresión o puede pensarse que en ocasiones es un acto comandado por el amor?

ABSTARCT: The context of the doctoral program, whose subject is focused on the representations of educators about physical punishment aimed at children, deals with the text of Sigmund Freud Civilization and its discontents, to inquire about his conception about punishment. The author refers that the punishment seems to be encouraged by an aggressive intention well on the side of the parents as on the superego side, instance that replaces them and is the reservoir of all the hatred generated by the father as a representative of the law. In this way, Freud does not refer to punishment as an act commanded by love. As a consequence, an important open question is remained: is punishment ever related to aggression or sometimes it can be thought as an act commanded by love?
