Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente trabajo de investigación, Las manifestaciones del modo de ser y el carácter de los antioqueños en los Estados Unidos de Colombia 1863-1886, tiene como objetivo mostrar las formas de ser y el carácter de los antioqueños durante el Olimpo Radical -1863-1886-, a partir de la injerencia de la geografía en la vida cotidiana y en el desarrollo de la economía, la política y la cultura; las percepciones de los autores extranjeros y los viajeros de la época; y las descripciones que aparecen en la literatura regional referidas al contexto histórico estudiado. Para los antioqueños de hoy, que tanto hemos escuchado hablar a nuestros antecesores sobre esa <raza antioqueña pujante y verraca>, es importante plantearse de donde vienen estos caracteres que nos han identificado a lo largo de la historia nacional y, más aún, cómo se manifiestan y son visibles esas características.

ABSTRACT: The present research document, it's about the manifestations of the way of being and the character of the Antioqueños in the Estados Unidos de Colombia between 1863-1886, as an objetive is showing the differents ways of being and the character of the Antioqueños during the Olimpo Radical ocurred between -1863-1886-, from the interference of the geography in daily life and in the development of the economy, the politic and the culture; the perceptions of foreign authors and the travelers of that time; also the descriptions that appear in the local literature referred to the historical context studied. For the Antioqueños of today that we've listened speaking about our predecessors like a <vigorous and horn race>, it's important to ask us about those characters which as identifty ourselves along the national histort, and even more, how it manifiests today and how are visible those characteristics.
